Who is responsible
CyberDome Nigeria Ltd (RC 1406750), 3 Bobo Close, Maitama, FCT, Abuja, Nigeria, runs this registration site and decides how your details are used. General questions: info@cyberdome.net. Our Data Protection Officer: dpo@cyberdome.net.
What we collect
- The details you type: full name, work email, company and job title.
- Whether your confirmation email was sent, and whether you unsubscribed or cancelled.
- Your IP address and basic browser signals, used only during the verification check to stop automated sign-ups. We do not store them with your registration.
Why we use it
- To register you, send your confirmation and calendar invite, remind you 3 days and 1 day before the event, and tell you about changes to it.
- To prepare the venue, badges and attendee list for the organisers.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, we use your details to do what you asked for when you registered, and with your consent. You can change your mind at any time, in three ways:
- Unsubscribe to stop emails. Your registration stays.
- Cancel your registration on the same page. You will not be on the attendee list.
- Ask us to delete your details, including the copies held by the events team, by emailing dpo@cyberdome.net.
Changing your mind does not affect what we did before. We do not use your details for marketing. Apart from the service providers listed below, we do not pass them to anyone, including our co-hosts Splunk and Redington, unless you agree to that separately.
Who handles it for us
- Amazon Web Services hosts this site, stores registrations and sends the emails (United States region).
- Cloudflare provides the verification check on the form.
Amazon Web Services acts only on our instructions. Cloudflare processes the verification signals on our behalf to protect the form, and also uses them under its own responsibility to keep the check working and improve it, as described in the Turnstile privacy addendum. Their servers are outside Nigeria: your registration is stored in the United States, and Cloudflare may process the verification signals in other countries. Those countries may not protect personal data in the same way as Nigeria. We rely on each provider’s contractual data protection commitments and on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. Until you tick it, the form does not contact Cloudflare and nothing is sent. To ask about the safeguards, email dpo@cyberdome.net.
How long we keep it
The registration system, including every registration in it, is deleted automatically on 10 November 2026. The CyberDome events team keeps the attendee list it receives by email only to run and follow up the event, and deletes it by 31 January 2027. If an email to you bounces or is reported as spam, our email provider keeps that address on a do-not-send list, and we receive a notice of it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, object to their use, or withdraw your registration at any time. Email our Data Protection Officer at dpo@cyberdome.net. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Emails and unsubscribing
We only email you about this event. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and your mail app may also show an unsubscribe button. Unsubscribing stops further emails. You can also choose to cancel your registration on the same page.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from this site itself. The only outside service is Cloudflare’s verification check on the registration form, which is used to tell people from automated programs and is configured not to set clearance cookies. Because nothing optional is stored on your device, we do not show a cookie banner.
